Oasis Desert Song proved to be an outstanding foundation stallion for the young stud. Not only was he one of Australia's most successful endurance stallions, but he proved to be pre-potent in passing these characteristics onto his progeny.
Desert's career in endurance earned him 3 Quilty buckles, including 3 rd in 1982, the first stallion in 16 years to place in the Top 5, and an 8th in 1983.
After completing his endurance career, Oasis Desert Song entered the Halter arena with numerous Championships to his credit, including a Reserve Championship at the Nationals, where the stallion classes were contested by the cream of Australia’s stallions at that time.’
His legacy of elite endurance athletes and winning halter horses continues to this day, with descendants now spanning the four corners of the globe.
