History of Valinor Park

Founded in 1979, Valinor Park has a long history of successfully breeding and producing both elite Halter Arabians as well as Champion Performance and Endurance horses.

The original foundation stock was mainly Crabbet, with the stud’s foundation stallion, Oasis Desert Song +s being both an outstanding performer at endurance, winning numerous rides and Best Conditioned Horse Awards, as well as winning many AA Grade Championships at Halter.

Mares were originally chosen for both their beauty and performance bloodlines, hence the motto “Beauty That Endures’, and their progeny cemented the firm foundations upon which the stud grew.

As the stud evolved, so too did the breeding programme, which began to incorporate Halter Champions from around the world, as well as proven performance bloodlines from both Polish and Russian strains.

These days, there is a large Russian and Polish influence in the stud, which has given Valinor Park superior endurance performers when bred to the descendants of Oasis Desert Song, whilst the Show team boasts horses who are line-bred to Palas, as well as progeny of Gazal Al Shaqab.

Today, Valinor Park bred and produced horses have represented Australia, England and Canada in Endurance, as well as successfully competing overseas. In the show ring, the stud’s halter horses are consistent winners at AAA and AA graded shows.
